Position: Swing Shift Cage Cashier - Full Time (Harrah's Hoosier Park)

Job Description

Responsible for performing high volume cash and non-cash transactions with internal and external guests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. Performs daily tasks in the cage operations areas, including table fills and table credits.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES:
None

Cage Cashier – Job Functions
  • Works in Cage front window/Chip Bank and other employee service areas. Works in other departmental areas assigned.
  • Responsible for performing Table Fills and Table credits, high volume EGD jackpots, issuance of venue banks, and employee transactions in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Computes all monetary transactions.
  • Duties include General Check Cashing, Cash Advances, CR transactions, Sports book transactions, and other Casino cashier transactions. Works in other departmental areas assigned.
  • Assists in the issuance and payment of Casino Credit instruments.
  • Maintains accurate transaction and auditable balancing practices.
  • Maintains strict adherence to the department policies and procedures necessary to maintain integrity of the cash operation.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of Title 31 requirements.
  • Replenishes and balances ticket redemption machines and performs any other duties related to the ticket redemption machines.
  • Conveys a consistently professional, friendly, and courteous manner, in interactions with all guests and employees.
  • Other duties assigned.
Main Banker – Job Functions
  • Works in the Main Bank and Employee Service areas. Works in other departmental areas assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written with the ability to read general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write simple reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED plus a combination of equivalent working experience and education and knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, gaming devices, safety equipment, etc. Must have a strong mathematical ability, the ability to work in a physically demanding area as well as be familiar with a high volume and fast paced environment. Previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
