Looking for Retired Firefighters Who Still Want to Serve
Have you retired from the fire service but still miss being part of the action?
SERVPRO Team Carley is building a Community Response Unit that responds to fire and emergency incidents throughout the Portland Metro area.
We are looking for retired firefighters, first responders, EMTs, and public safety professionals who want to continue helping people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
This is not a suppression role. This is a community response role focused on supporting families, assisting first responders, gathering incident information, coordinating emergency services, and helping property owners begin the recovery process.
Responsibilities- Respond to fire and emergency incidents within assigned territory
- Build relationships with firefighters and emergency personnel
- Provide Family Recovery resources to affected property owners
- Gather incident information and photographs
- Identify emergency board‑up and mitigation opportunities
- Coordinate with Team Carley’s restoration professionals
- Represent SERVPRO Team Carley professionally within the community
- Retired firefighter
- Medically retired firefighter
- EMT or paramedic
- Public safety professional
- Military veteran
- Strong communicator
- Community‑mindful individual
This position allows experienced emergency service professionals to remain connected to the industry they love while helping families recover from unexpected disasters.
The role combines community service, relationship building, and emergency response support in a flexible part‑time structure.
