The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to support the efficient production of high-quality products. This role partners with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve process capability, reduce costs, and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance
- Support new product introductions by ensuring manufacturability, process capability, and smooth production ramp-up
- Analyze existing processes and implement improvements using lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues impacting quality, cost, or production schedules and implement corrective actions
- Support installation, optimization, and improvement of manufacturing equipment and automation
- Implement and maintain quality control processes; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Analyze manufacturing data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and process documentation
- Experience with CAD software, ERP/MES systems, and data analysis tools preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
- Work performed in both office and industrial manufacturing environments
- PPE required when on the production floor
