Electrical Assemblers

We are seeking Electrical Assembler
for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Muncie, IN. This is a great opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team building electrical panel assemblies and wiring systems in a hands‑on, skilled environment.

Pay & Schedule

2nd Shift

  • Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • $19.00/hr
  • Overtime available as needed

3rd Shift

  • Sunday–Thursday, 9:30 PM–6:00 AM
  • $20.00/hr
  • Overtime available as needed

Experienced Candidates: Up to $21.00/hr

Training: First 6–8 weeks on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM)

Position Overview

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for building electrical panel assemblies and wiring systems using both mechanical and electrical skills. This role requires attention to detail, blueprint reading, and the ability to produce high‑quality, safe, and reliable electrical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical panels, components, and wiring systems using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
  • Cut, strip, crimp, label, and install wiring and cables (26 AWG through 4/0 and larger)
  • Install wire harnesses, connectors, and electrical components, ensuring proper terminations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to complete assembly tasks
  • Apply correct torque specifications and follow engineering standards
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and support quality corrections as needed
  • Maintain accurate process documentation
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Follow all safety procedures when working around electrical systems, machinery, rail cars, and locomotives
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in electrical assembly, wiring, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand/power tools
  • Familiarity with AC/DC electrical systems
  • Experience measuring, cutting, and preparing wire for installation
  • Forklift and/or crane experience is a plus
  • Entry‑level candidates with strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and overhead reaching
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, temperature changes, and elevated work areas
  • Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
