Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and active IN or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• 20-bed mixed ICU/Step-Down unit in a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes severe respiratory failure (pneumonia, ARDS, COPD/asthma exacerbations), sepsis and septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurologic conditions, complex metabolic and endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure,

• ICU nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1;
Step-Down ratio of 3:1,

• Floating required to sister unit (5S) for Step-Down or progressive level patients at a 4:1 ratio,

• Specialized procedures include mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, advanced oxygen therapies, arterial line management, vasopressor titration, NIH and TNK therapy, and enteral/parenteral nutrition,

• Night shift: 18:00-06:30,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification (AHA required),

• Current ACLS certification (AHA required),

• NIH Certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required,

• Full Social Security Number and US address required for consideration,

• 2 professional references required,

• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, managing invasive lines, titrating IV medications, and overseeing complex medication regimens and frequent lab monitoring,
