Job Summary

A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room care located in Anderson, Indiana. This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in a busy, 29-bed Emergency Department. The RN assesses, plans, and evaluates patient care for individuals presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent medical conditions. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day.

  • Required Qualifications:

    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana;

    Certifications:

    Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC);
    Minimum of 5 years emergency nursing experience preferred;
    Previous experience in a high‑volume Emergency Department preferred.
  • Additional Information:
    Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage according to department protocols. Initiate and manage emergency nursing interventions for critically ill and injured patients. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately. Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status. Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and cardiac emergencies. Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in high‑acuity situations.

    Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow‑up care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, EMS personnel, respiratory therapy, laboratory, radiology, and ancillary staff. Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention guidelines. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education activities.
