Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a night shift Med/Surg RN for a 21-bed Ortho/Med-Surg unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and float availability.

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work on a 21-bed Ortho/Med-Surg unit (3 South) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes total joint replacement, general surgery, urology surgery, chest pain observation, pancreatitis, osteomyelitis, and cellulitis cases
• Maintains a 3:1 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating required to 5S, a Med/Tele/PCU unit
• Weekend-only candidates will be considered
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide direct patient care to a diverse surgical and medical patient population
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates to be considered at a reduced rate
• Candidates should begin extension conversations with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
