The Jewelry Consultant role at Kay Jewelers in Anderson, IN is a full-time, on‑site position focused on delivering an outstanding in-store customer experience. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include welcoming customers, learning about their needs and occasions, and recommending appropriate jewelry pieces and services. The Jewelry Consultant helps customers understand product features, quality, and care, processes sales transactions, and supports store goals through effective retail selling techniques.
The role also involves maintaining merchandise displays, ensuring the showroom is clean and inviting, and participating in product and sales training. Jewelry Consultants work collaboratively with store leadership and peers to meet sales targets and uphold Kay’s service standards.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage customers, listen effectively, and provide clear, supportive guidance.
- Candidates should possess abilities in Customer Experience and Retail Sales to create positive shopping experiences, build relationships, and drive store performance.
- Candidates should possess interest or foundational skills in Jewelry Design to discuss product details, styles, and customization options with confidence.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior retail or hospitality experience, comfort working toward sales goals, reliability in schedule adherence, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; willingness to learn about jewelry products, care, and industry standards is essential.
