Unarmed Security Officer (Guard Security)

This position is a part-time or full-time role with 9.5‑hour shifts, primarily on 2nd Shift and weekends. This job reports to the Operations Manager.

Pay rate: $15 per hour, paid weekly

Shift length: 9.5 hrs per shift.

Must be 18 years or older, able to walk or stand for long periods, able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (waist high), and have reliable transport. An active cellphone is required. Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Guard card preferred; training and registration will be provided. Prior law enforcement, military, or 1 year of security experience is a plus.

Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and communication skills; professional presentation; ability to work as part of a team or solo.

Must be able to read and interpret written information under various circumstances; must promptly communicate in emergencies; must drive if required; must be able to detect relevant sounds; must be physically fit.

• Ability to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress.
• Ability to walk, run, stand, climb, sit.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high.
• Good mental health; able to make instant decisions during emergencies.
• Must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed as a security guard; must obtain required license (armed or unarmed).

You will help prevent and deter crime through:

• Performing regular and random patrols of multiple premises.
• Reporting any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
• Performing control procedures when necessary.
• Operating emergency equipment.
• Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports.
• Investigating breaches of property.
