Job Description: Parts Team Associate
Location: 3940 West 73rd Street, Anderson, IN 46011
Department: Fleet Maintenance Job Status: Full Time Reports to: Parts Manager
POSITION SUMMARYThe Parts Team Associate is responsible for assisting technicians and customers and purchasing needed parts and supplies. The Parts Team Associate reports directly to the Parts Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES- Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the fleet.
- Locate available parts when the fleet is out of stock.
- Handle parts payment collection and ensure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and all repair orders.
- Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.
High School Diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCEInventory experience is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone
COMPUTER SKILLSBasic computer skills and abilities such as Microsoft Office and Excel. Must have the ability to learn new programs as necessary.
OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust be self-sufficient and self-motivated, dependable, and able to focus while having a willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENTYou will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings. You will also need to maintain all safety certifications and standards necessary as set by management.
