A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a Plant
Controller to join their team at the manufacturing facility near Anderson, SC. This position will play a key role in supporting plant leadership through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business decision support.
The Controller will act as a strategic business partner to operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with corporate and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with plant leadership to provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business decisions.
- Lead plant-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
- Analyze manufacturing performance, costs, productivity, and profitability.
- Prepare monthly variance analyses, including production output, material usage, scrap, labor, and operational costs.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Develop contribution margin, profitability, and financial simulation analyses.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve results.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and US GAAP requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and controlling processes.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations for management as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, plant controlling, or cost accounting.
- Automotive manufacturing experience required.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, production costs, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and internal control processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and leadership teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
