Part Time Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support a dynamic and well-established team based in Upstate SC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

The position averages 20 hours/week on-site with a flexible schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and assist with collections.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support expense reporting and employee reimbursements.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Help ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department and assist with special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
