Senior Electrical Engineer – First Quality Tissue Division – Anderson, SC or Lock Haven, PA.

Role Overview

Project and Divisional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical and power systems, responsible for leading the design and execution of large capital expansion projects within the First Quality Tissue Division.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and design electrical power systems for capital expansion projects across multiple sites.
  • Prepare equipment/project scope documents for proposals, installations, startups, and validations.
  • Ensure power and control engineering details align with project needs, facilitative equipment purchasing, review electrical/control designs and applications, and participate in energy‑efficient design.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Lead commissioning activities to ensure successful start‑up and provide ongoing support to maintain optimal performance post‑launch.
  • Follow written procedures and guidelines; possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in short time frames, collaborating with others under time pressures.
  • Mentor and influence representatives from engineering, maintenance, and operations across multiple site locations.
  • Identify machine, material, or process improvements and implement solutions.
  • Work in environments with high noise, dust, or heights; may be exposed to power distribution and manufacturing floor hazards.
Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment; 15+ years of experience may offset lack of a formal degree.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical/Engineering Field; BSEE preferred.
  • Previous Project Management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and familiar with AutoCAD.
  • Background with National Electrical Code (NEC) NFPA 70 and 70E and National Electrical Safety Code.
  • Experience with high and low voltage power distribution systems, motor control centers, general power distribution, Variable Speed Drives (VFD), motors, and cabling systems (cable sizing).
  • Experience with ABB coordinated drives line‑ups and Siemens MV drives a plus.
  • Previous industrial and general plant experience, including paper manufacturing or continuous processes, a plus.
  • Familiarity with DCS and PLC controls a plus.
  • Industrial power distribution design, construction, and commissioning experience.
  • Proven experience supporting or managing large capital projects, including budgetary responsibilities.
  • Exceptional analytical problem‑solving, equipment vendor management, and strong computer skills.
  • Influencing without authority; authoring specifications and best practices.
  • Communication skills to engage and drive understanding throughout all levels.
  • Technical leadership, mentoring divisional level technical objectives, and basic business ownership skills.
