We are seeking a professional to manage procurement activities related to CAPEX Construction and Equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement processes from pre‑bid to project closeout, while managing risk and maintaining vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading negotiations, understanding value streams, and aligning with company strategy.
Primary Responsibilities- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in procurement.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct high‑value negotiations for large industrial projects.
- Lead complex contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support procurement initiatives.
- Coordinate the development of technical specifications for RFPs.
- Synchronize the purchasing of materials and equipment with construction schedules.
- Establish continuous improvement processes for contracts.
- Perform contractor evaluations for bid lists.
- Serve as point of contact between engineering, technical leads, and bidders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the procurement process.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years in capital and/or construction procurement.
- Proven history of successful complex negotiations.
- Deep understanding of industry practices and market dynamics.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with various contract types.
- Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
- Some travel is required.
