Responsible for the evaluation, instruction, supervision, and exercise prescription for patients in all of our Life Choice Programs

Duties & Responsibilities

* Provides comprehensive exercise treatment strategies for Life Choice participants by:

* Using data obtained from six minute walk, and or other entrance assessment data to formulate an individualized exercise prescription.

* Counseling each patient on their exercise treatment plan and establishing mutually acceptable goals for exercise and rehabilitation. Documenting the exercise plan as well as the patients' goals on the Individualized Treatment Plan (I.T.P.).

* Instructing and supervising daily exercise sessions on an individual and/or group basis.

* Re-evaluating the appropriateness of the patients exercise plan, and revising as necessary.

Education/ Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology/ Exercise Science. Master's preferred.

* Minimum of one year's experience in cardiac rehab preferred.

* Basic Life Support certification required.

* Successful completion of Arrhythmias course.

* Previous experience with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, and Group Wise.

* Effective oral and written communication skills
