The PIM Manager leads the strategy, governance, implementation, and optimization of the Product Information Management platform and related processes. This role serves as the functional owner and subject matter expert for product data, ensuring product content is accurate, complete, consistent, and ready for use across eCommerce, retail, marketing, sales, and operational channels.

The PIM Manager partners with Product, Marketing, eCommerce, IT, Operations, Supply Chain, and external partners to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions, improve data quality, establish product information standards, and drive adoption of consistent data management practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

Platform Ownership
  • Serve as the functional owner and primary administrator of the PIM platform, including configuration, governance, workflow management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage platform enhancements and ensure solutions align with business needs and operational goals.
  • Lead PIM implementations, enhancements, integrations, and product data transformation initiatives.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones to ensure successful execution.
Data Governance
  • Define and maintain product data standards, taxonomies, attribute models, validation rules, and content readiness requirements.
  • Establish processes to improve product data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and usability.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, eCommerce, Sales, Supply Chain, IT, Operations, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Gather requirements, align priorities, and ensure product information supports business objectives.
Workflow & Syndication Management
  • Design and optimize workflows for product creation, enrichment, approval, lifecycle management, and content distribution.
  • Support syndication of product information across retailer, marketplace, distributor, and internal platforms.
Data Quality, Compliance & Reporting
  • Monitor product data completeness, consistency, accessibility, security, and compliance.
  • Conduct audits, resolve data issues, develop reporting metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Training & Adoption
  • Create documentation, SOPs, process guides, user documentation, and training materials.
  • Support organizational adoption and change management efforts related to PIM processes and tools.
  • Identify process gaps, dependencies, and risks impacting data quality, timelines, compliance, or channel readiness.
  • Escalate issues and provide recommendations to leadership.

Key Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, eCommerce, Engineering, Data Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Information Management, Product Data Management, Master Data Management, Digital Commerce, or related areas.
  • Hands‑on experience with PIM/PXM platforms such as Salsify, Akeneo, Inriver, Syndigo, Informatica, or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Strong understanding of product data governance, taxonomy management, attribute mapping, digital asset management, workflow automation, and content syndication.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional projects and managing stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business requirements and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PXM, digital shelf optimization, omnichannel commerce, and retailer content standards.
  • Knowledge of ERP, eCommerce, DAM, APIs, integrations, and enterprise information systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, vendor management, and change management practices.
  • Demonstrates ownership, collaboration, innovation, and strong communication across teams.
  • Builds effective working relationships and promotes a positive team environment.
  • Works effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintains strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to prioritize workload efficiently.

Process Expectations:

  • Develop a strong understanding of product processes, business workflows, brand standards, and product requirements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve product data quality, operational efficiency, and user adoption.
