Operations Manager, Inventory Control & Analysis
Responsibilities
- Ensure all new orders are planned according to the Original Promise date.
- Maintain dates in ERP system and other planning tools.
- Set capacity and identify constraints to review with Operations and Purchasing on a regular basis.
- Supervise materials and manufacturing planners.
- Attend Tier II meetings to coach planners how to resolve issues.
- Attend Tier III meetings in the absence of the Materials Manager.
- Develop various reports submitted on a daily to monthly frequency to multiple departments.
- Interface with Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, and Project Delivery.
- Identify and work cross-functionally to resolve ERP and supplier delivery issues that could impact production plans.
- Participate in regular control point meetings to review performance and project progress within the Materials Management team.
- Analyze and improve performance against the performance metrics.
- Assist the Materials Manager to drive and measure metrics that align with Vertiv goals.
- Assist with Information Technology improvement implementation.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The Materials & Manufacturing Planning Supervisor is responsible for supervising all activities managed by the planning team. This position provides leadership for the planning team. Assists the Materials Manager in implementing best practices through the VOS tools to standardize and improve the execution from order entry to shipment. Supervises all planning activities and planners.

Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or six years of equivalent experience
Preferred
- Advanced analytical skills
- Lean experience
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and interact effectively with personnel to accomplish tasks
- Must be action-oriented with an eye for finding opportunities and solving problems
- Detail-oriented with ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- English language skills required;
Spanish language is a plus
