Job SummaryThe Project co‑ordinator is responsible for the cross‑functional coordination of new product development and sustaining projects that vary in complexity and span multiple functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. They coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, production, logistics, and other cross‑functional groups to optimize time to market and expedite NPDI projects. The Project co‑ordinator builds credibility, establishes rapport, and maintains communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, ensuring project success.
Responsibilities- Facilitate cross‑functional planning and project execution, ensuring delivery on time
- Monitor project tasks assigned to other departments and ensure timely completion
- Report project progress through schedule updates and assure alignment with target dates
- Identify potential issues and escalate to higher management to prevent project slip
- Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans
- Adhere to the NPDI New Product Development & Introduction process
- Assist project team members as required
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects
- Diploma with 3 years experience or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1–2 years experience, or other technical degree
- Proven ability to communicate and negotiate with individuals at various levels to accomplish tasks
- Competence in problem‑solving, follow‑up, and report preparation and update
- Experience conducting meetings to ensure progress
- Ability to quickly develop cross‑functional relationships to achieve project execution
- Results‑oriented with proven ability to accomplish goals
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
