Position OverviewA well-established consumer products manufacturer with two plants on a shared campus in Anderson, SC is expanding and seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale capital projects. The organization values hands‑on leadership, collaboration, and team development.
This role will oversee multi‑million‑dollar capital projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate is a visible, on‑the‑floor leader who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and is comfortable managing contractors, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute large‑scale, multi‑million‑dollar capital projects from planning through startup
- Manage and coordinate external contractors, vendors, and engineering partners
- Develop and control project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources
- Drive project schedules while ensuring safety, quality, and cost objectives are met
- Provide hands‑on leadership at the job site
- Coach, mentor, and develop internal team members
- Support expansion efforts including acquisitions and new plant builds
- Travel to other company locations as needed to support capital initiatives
- 7–10+ years of project management experience in manufacturing
- Proven track record managing large, multi‑million‑dollar capital projects
- Strong contractor management experience
- Background in high‑speed manufacturing environments
- Experience in paper/packaging, tissue, textiles, nonwovens, food & beverage, or metals preferred
- Demonstrated hands‑on leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring ability
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
