Responsibilities
  • Execute all utilities functions/tasks safely and consistently in compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure daily integrity of chemical inventory accuracy, loading, unloading, and housekeeping of the Utilities operation.
  • Calculate accurate tallies and documentation during the loading and unloading of chemicals and warehousing processes.
  • Contribute to quality/customer satisfaction regarding product integrity during loading, unloading, and warehousing.
  • Handle chemicals and prepare storing documentation and packaging requirements.
  • Receive and manage inventory through SAP.
  • Observe safety rules and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner; be aware of situations requiring PPE and special safety precautions.
  • Inspect equipment used on a shift basis and report defects to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the utility facilities.
  • Store and handle chemical materials according to utility policies and procedures.
  • Support paper machines with material requests.
  • Assist Inventory Specialist with inventories when necessary and ensure daily inventory integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintain an efficient product flow to operating areas and maintain inventory of raw starch material.
  • Load starch cooking system and remove empty bags; perform housekeeping in the starch building.
  • Write work orders and follow up to keep starch system operating at peak performance; coordinate with paper machine operations to ensure a constant starch flow.
  • Attend outage planning meetings with paper machine operations and participate in process rounds on starch equipment to identify issues and communicate with paper machines as needed.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work overtime and any shift/schedule assigned (current schedule is Mon – Fri)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate fork trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Fundamental knowledge of general warehouse procedures and product codes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of PPE when handling chemicals.
  • Fundamental computer knowledge and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • SAP knowledge is desired.
