RESPONSIBILITIES
* Complex Assembly & Installation:
Perform advanced mechanical assembly, structural fit-up, alignment, and installation of components according to detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret complex blueprints, bills of materials, layout drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate build execution.
* Precision Measurement & Alignment:
Utilize measuring tools (tape measures, levels, torque wrenches, calipers, etc.) to ensure proper alignment, fit, and torque specifications.
* Material Handling:
Safely move large or heavy components using cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other lifting equipment (if certified).
* Quality Assurance:
Conduct in-process inspections, verify dimensional accuracy, and ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
* Equipment Operation:
Operate advanced hand tools, power tools, and specialized production equipment safely and efficiently.
* Troubleshooting:
Identify assembly challenges or design discrepancies and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision to resolve issues.
* Documentation:
Accurately complete production documentation, quality checklists, work orders, and electronic tracking systems.
* Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE guidelines, and company policies at all times.
* Continuous Improvement:
Support lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S activities, and process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* Team
Collaboration:
Mentor less experienced operators as needed and work cross-functionally to meet production and project goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma or GED required
* 3+ years of manufacturing, industrial assembly, construction, or modular build experience preferred
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics
* Experience using precision measuring tools and torque equipment
* Forklift and/or overhead crane certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
* Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking systems
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs (or more with assistance or lifting equipment).
* Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, overhead lifting equipment, and industrial manufacturing conditions.
* Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as required by production demands.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
No travel required; position is facility-based.
