We are seeking a Production Planning Manager to oversee production scheduling activities and ensure alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory levels, and operational objectives. This role serves as a key liaison between supply chain, production, logistics, and customer-facing teams to drive efficient operations and on-time delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate schedule updates, changes, delays, and impacts to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to production scheduling personnel.
- Analyze production requirements daily and create schedules that meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and operational efficiency.
- Maximize utilization of labor, equipment, materials, and production capacity.
- Lead and support projects focused on improving manufacturing performance, quality, delivery, and cost effectiveness.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across production and support teams.
- Coordinate production trials and pilot runs in support of new product launches and operational needs.
- Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling, delivery, and production performance.
- Review current and forecasted demand against raw material availability and proactively address potential shortages or supply constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and customer service teams to coordinate production schedules and resource allocation.
- Develop, maintain, and adjust the facility’s master production schedule to support customer requirements and operational goals.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working with customers and suppliers to support quality, delivery, and supply requirements.
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities for productivity improvement and implement innovative solutions.
