Working for a manufacturer that needs welding for industrial racks
Responsibilities- Metal Rack Repair and Modifications
- Welding accounts for approximately 50% of the work
- Adheres to all safety rules and regulations along with the
- Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assess condition of racks returned from customer,
- Provides information for repair/modification quote
- Reads blueprints and weld assemblies to assure compliance to customer standards.
- Enters accurate quantities, material used and time into data collection system.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts by hand on automatic MIG welding equipment.
- Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Conduct final inspections of welds and parts, making spot repairs to ensure stability
- Operates forklift to safely move materials.
- Requires some travel to customer sites to complete tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
1st shift- 6a-4:30p-Mon-Thurs & Friday 6a-11a
Pay range$17- $19/hr
