Infusion Nurse
** Infusion Department
* Responsible for administering Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Immunoglobulin and Iron.
* Symptom management and patient education.
* Management of Central Line Catheters such as port-a-caths.
* Provide care according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
Education and Training Requirements
* Associates degree required
* National Nursing License and BLS certification required
* 0 - 1 year experience. 2 - 4 years preferred
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking, and priority setting skills
* Oncology experience a plus
* Excellent peripheral IV skills preferable
* ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate Course required after one year
* OCN certification required within two years
