Position Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Day Shift, 13‑Week Travel Contract in Anderson, South Carolina.
Start Date:
ASAP. Duration: 13 weeks.
Hours:
36 per week (12‑hour days, three shifts).
Employment Type:
Travel.
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, utilizing the data to create an individualized plan of care.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status effectively to support continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Contribute positively to the unit environment, promoting teamwork and efficiency.
- Maintain communication with management regarding service needs for supplies, equipment, and clinical training.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation.
- Pursue professional development through continuing education and self‑study.
- BLS certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
- Completed at least one assignment with the current agency.
- PCU experience is required.
The position operates on a Day Shift, requiring three 12‑hour shifts each week.
