American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position requiring floating to multiple Med/Surg and Tele units.

• Medical Surgical Float position on 6 South unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Required to float to other Med/Surg units as needed, including 5 MS and 4 Tele units as part of a resource pool
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, oxygen administration, wound care/wound vac, isolation precautions/PPE, colostomy/ileostomy care, and PCA/Heparin medication management
• Nursys or other license verification required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit, floating to other units as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
• Former staff RNs of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application

Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
