Overview
The Lead Event Specialist is responsible for executing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining product knowledge, serving and delivering products to customers, and ensuring all demonstration equipment remains in good condition. The role requires a professional appearance and adherence to all company policies.
Pay$13.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Management and maintenance of event equipment and supplies to keep them clean and secured in the designated backroom area.
- When the supervisor is absent, communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events.
- Serve as the point person for all events conducted in the store, assisting other Event Specialists with kits, materials, and tools as needed.
- Provide leadership and knowledge to the team when the supervisor is absent.
- Acquire adequate knowledge of the products represented and proactively intercept, engage, interact with, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
- Assist in performing all job responsibilities assigned to the demo program.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce, and eggs, in compliance with food safety guidelines.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the required job standards.
- Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
- Complete all work assigned.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per company policy.
- Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Takes digital photos of perfect table setups to document success stories for clients.
- Report any employment‑related injuries to the direct supervisor as soon as possible following an incident.
Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer
Skills:
Proficient ability to use and navigate personal computers and mobile devices using applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Food Safety Professional Certification, local food handlers permit if required.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, and prepare foods using raw products and various cooking utensils; contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Point of contact when supervisor is absent.
Working Conditions: Retail store environment with limited travel.
Physical Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming in accordance with company dress code.

English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
