We partner with local businesses to become their long-term marketing partner through our network of local news websites, newsletters, social media, podcasts, events, high school sports broadcasts, and a full-service digital marketing agency.
You’ll be responsible for developing relationships with business owners, understanding their goals, and building customized marketing partnerships that help them grow.

This position will report to Dunlap Media Group’s Chief Revenue Officer.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage a designated sales territory with a primary focus on generating new business and building long-term client relationships.
- Conduct proactive prospecting through phone calls, emails, networking, referrals, community involvement, and in-person meetings.
- Meet with business owners and decision-makers to conduct needs analyses and gain a thorough understanding of their business objectives, target audience, and marketing challenges.
- Develop and present customized marketing proposals that leverage Dunlap Media Group's full suite of products and services, including local news websites, newsletters, social media, podcasts, community events, high school sports broadcasts, search engine marketing, paid social media, and other digital marketing solutions.
- Generate new recurring monthly revenue through long-term marketing partnerships while identifying opportunities for one-time campaigns and special projects.
- Consistently achieve or exceed established monthly sales and activity goals.
- Build, maintain, and grow a portfolio of active client partnerships through exceptional communication and customer service.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships by increasing their investment and introducing additional marketing solutions over time.
- Collaborate with the Account Management and Creative teams to ensure successful campaign execution and an outstanding client experience.
- Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity, client communication, opportunities, and sales within the company's CRM platform.
- Develop strategic marketing recommendations that align with each client's business goals and growth objectives.
- Represent Dunlap Media Group professionally at Chamber events, ribbon cuttings, networking functions, community events, and other public engagements.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, media, advertising, or business development is preferred.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with business owners and decision-makers.
- Valid South Carolina driver's license, dependable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building abilities.
- Confidence presenting ideas and recommendations to business owners and executive decision-makers.
- Excellent time management, organization, and follow-through.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative marketing solutions.
- Comfortable prospecting, handling objections, and negotiating with confidence and professionalism.
- Ability to prioritize multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
