Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity located in Anderson, SC for a Detention Officer. The Detention Officer will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and well-being of detainees in the Anderson County Detention Center. Core responsibilities include supervising detainees, ensuring compliance with facility rules, conducting inspections, maintaining detailed records, and assisting with conflict resolution when necessary. The role also involves collaborating with law enforcement and other facility staff to maintain order and security within the center.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Detention operations and ensuring adherence to facility rules and regulations
  • Experience in Physical Security and managing secure facilities
  • Educational background or experience in Criminal Justice
  • Knowledge and skills related to Law Enforcement and Public Safety
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments
  • Willingness to undergo and pass background checks and physical fitness assessments
  • Experience working in a correctional or security setting is a plus
