POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Wiring Technician – Switchgear to join our manufacturing team. In this hands‑on role, you will wire electrical components for switch gear systems based on schematics and engineering drawings. Your work will ensure reliable power solutions that support our global customers.

Shifts available
  • 1st: 6am‑2pm Mon‑ Friday
  • 1st: 6am‑4pm Mon‑ Thursday
  • 2nd: 3pm‑11pm Mon‑ Friday
  • 2nd: 4pm‑2am Mon‑ Thursday
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Wiring & Assembly:
    Install and connect wiring for electrical switch gear components based on detailed schematics, diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Component Installation:
    Mount relays, circuit breakers, switches, busbars, and other electrical hardware into enclosures using hand and power tools.
  • Routing & Terminating:
    Route, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables accurately and efficiently using proper techniques and tools.
  • Quality Control:
    Conduct self-inspections of wiring to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and code standards.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting:
    Assist in functional testing of wiring systems and troubleshoot issues such as miswires or component malfunctions.
  • Documentation:
    Follow work instructions and document completed wiring tasks according to production requirements.
  • Safety & Housekeeping:
    Work safely around electrical components and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free workspace.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or switch gear assembly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in using wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety standards (OSHA, NEC).
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull.
  • Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required.
  • Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position.
  • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position.
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the position
Work Environment
  • The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedure
  • Varying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
  • Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas.
  • Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require.
  • Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas.
