Material Handler
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Coordination:
Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping of materials to support production and customer orders. - Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, system transactions, and physical verification of materials. - Shipping & Receiving:
Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, verify documentation, and ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and transported. - Material Handling:
Move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts while ensuring safe handling and proper storage practices. - System Transactions:
Perform inventory transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems to ensure real-time accuracy and traceability. - Documentation & Reporting:
Complete shipping paperwork, receiving logs, and inventory reports; resolve discrepancies as needed. - Quality & Accuracy:
Inspect incoming materials for damage or non-conformance and communicate issues to appropriate personnel. - Safety & Housekeeping:
Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or inventory coordination experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred or willing to obtain)
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems
- This position may require standing or walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a warehouse environment where protective equipment is required.
- Exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and noise from warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work different shifts or overtime as needed.
