• Adapts classroom activities, assignments, and materials (reading curriculum) under the direction of the supervising teacher to support classroom objectives.
• Administers tests, homework, make‑up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.
• Attends meetings and professional learning presentations to acquire and convey information related to job functions.
• Communicates with supervising instructional staff and professional support personnel to assist in evaluating progress and implementing individual learning plan objectives.
• Assists the supervising teacher in maintaining instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files/records to facilitate instruction and meet mandated requirements.
• Provides, under the supervision of an assigned teacher, instruction to students in individual and group activities to reinforce instructional objectives, implement individual learning plans, and ensure student success.
• Demonstrates dependability, promptness, and regular attendance to establish consistent routines, promote teamwork, and guarantee instructional continuity.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information to comply with legal requirements and maintain a professional working environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Maintains high levels of confidentiality regarding student and staff information and issues.

• Demonstrates required mobility, agility, and dexterity to work with students.
• Can move, lift, pull, or push objects as needed.
• Remains attentive to students while working in noisy, crowded environments with numerous interruptions.
