Salary Range: $17.00 To $17.00 Hourly

South Central Mental Health is currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hr/wk) front office staff for our Andover location. This position requires working until 7:30 PM one night per week. On Fridays, clinic operations close at 12 PM. The ideal candidate will provide professional and compassionate communication at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clinical, medical, and case management staff as necessary
  • Responsible for Release of Information paper flow and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) data entry
  • Responsible for obtaining information for first time clients (intakes), and updating all current client information
  • Responsible for 30-Day Discharge Letters, and assisting with client transfers
  • Responsible for printing daily schedules and distributing to appropriate staff
  • Responsible for checking clients in and out
  • Responsible for scheduling appointments, collecting fees at time of check in, answering multiple phone lines, taking messages, transferring calls, sending Nurse Notes, and making daily reminder calls
  • Responsible for completing the weekly deposit
  • Filing and maintaining the supply of all materials for daily functioning, and the ordering of all office supplies and maintenance of office equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

must be able to:
  • Read, write, speak, and communicate in English fluently. Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms; lift or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Utilize technology proficiently: including Microsoft Word & Excel software, an EMR system, internet browser, e-mail, multi-line phones, voicemail, document scanner, copy, & fax machines.
  • Exhibit proficiency in math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages).

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Detail Oriented
  • Good inter-personal skills; must maintain exceptional professionalism as a front-line representative of SCMHCC.
  • Can handle multiple tasks with constant interruption, while remaining patient
  • Remain calm and professional when addressing clients, and those in crisis
  • Team player with a willing-to-learn attitude
  • Remain aware of activities of office, while at the same time retaining confidentiality policy
  • Pass a criminal background and driver’s license check to the satisfaction of SCMH
