Life Spring Recovery of Andover is an 80-bed detox and residential treatment center serving individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders throughout the greater Wichita region.

Operated by Ascension Recovery Services (ARS), the nation's first Substance Use Disorder Management Services Organization (SUD-MSO), our mission is simple: provide exceptional, compassionate care that helps individuals reclaim their lives and build lasting recovery.

At Life Spring Recovery, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment where every team member plays an important role in patient healing and recovery.

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care and clinical support to patients receiving detoxification and residential treatment services. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and medical leadership, the LPN monitors patient health, administers medications, supports treatment planning, and helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about behavioral health, addiction treatment, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Patient Care
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies.
  • Monitor patient health status, vital signs, and withdrawal symptoms.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
  • Identify and report significant changes in patient condition.
  • Support patient education and discharge planning efforts.
Care Coordination
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and patient reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Medication Management
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs).
  • Assist with medication inventory, storage, and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with medication safety standards and regulations.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, accreditation, and company standards.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
Therapeutic Environment
  • Promote a safe, structured, and supportive treatment environment.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and patient de-escalation as needed.
  • Support overall program operations and patient engagement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, addiction treatment, detoxification, or residential healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented treatment models.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Clinical treatment environment with frequent interaction with patients.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, and computer use.
  • Ability to safely assist patients and lift up to 50 pounds with appropriate support.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
