Business Development, Sales Manager
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining new sales opportunities for Prep Rite Blast Chillers, Prep Tables, Sous Vide Circulators and Vacuum Sealers. The BDM will support the Food Service and Food Retail Regional Sales Managers and Reps to drive Prep Rite dealer sales, but the focus will be to generate direct sales opportunities with end-users – specifically for chains / roll out opportunities.
Opportunity development will be driven through lead generation marketing by target applications with SEO, PPC, email lists, etc.; leveraging Crown Tonka food retail contacts and focus; vertical market trade shows, etc. The BDM will collaborate with Everidge Marketing to drive the strategy and content and deliverables to generate awareness and leads.
Target customers and markets may include Food Retail Deli, Food service Consultants, Country Club catering, Institutional accounts, Hotels & Resorts, Corporate dining, Catering operations, Chain accounts, C-Store , Bakery chains and operations, food processing and manufacturing, etc. This person will also focus on new product development as it pertains to our Prep Rite product family.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Responsible for growing Prep Rite topline sales revenue via direct sales efforts and collaboration with Everidge Food Service sales managers + reps / dealers, and Everidge Food Retail sales managers + reps/contractors.
- Collaborate with Everidge executive chef to meet sales and market objectives.
- Company expert on all Prep Rite Products, including how to operate, program, and troubleshoot.
- Develops and expands existing/new business opportunities within new and existing markets.
- Assist with the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
- Develops sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses for each product and service.
- Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.
- Provides leadership and/or supports the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines.
- Meet with key decision makers, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Research and develop leads to potential customers, making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
- Develop a comprehensive training program for all Prep Rite Products.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends & government regulations.
- Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of customers and intercompany personnel.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
- Envision and work with appropriate channels to develop new products that complement the current specialty products line.
- Provide culinary and technical support and education to rep groups and existing/potential customers.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to demonstrate and sell Specialty Products.
Qualifications &
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year College or University - Minimum of ten years Sales Experience in Food Service, QSR, QCR, or related Refrigeration Equipment Industries. Experience selling Blast Chillers a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering new sales.
- Culinary background is a plus!
