- Interface with Program Finance, Order Management, Contracts, and Sales personnel in reviewing revenue contracts to ensure proper revenue determination in adherence to Mercury's policies and ASC 606.
- Perform review of quarterly revenue-related controls, including revenue sampling, testing of cost inputs, and program fluctuation analysis.
- Support external auditors on annual financial audits and quarterly financial reviews.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and data analytics, in creating efficiencies for our revenue processes and optimizing close timelines.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in review of prepared consolidated financial statements, footnote disclosures, and documentation for SEC filings, including but not limited to 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements, and the annual report.
- Review data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Gathers reference material concerning new and existing technical accounting literature to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly presentation to the Audit Committee.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in either public accounting or publicly traded companies.
- Technical Accounting experience, including Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX Compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley).
- Strong written communication, including accounting memos, work papers, and verbal communication.
- Working independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and details effectively within firm timelines.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Master's Degree or CPA preferred.
