The Junior Staff Accountant will support the accounting and finance team with day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who wants hands‑on experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment and the opportunity to grow with a rapidly scaling organization.
Job Responsibilities- Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform three‑way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires)
- Maintain vendor master data and respond to vendor inquiries
- Ensure proper expense coding and compliance with company policies
- Prepare accounts payable reconciliations and tie subledger to the general ledger
- Assist with month‑end close, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and journal entries
- Support inventory and freight‑related payables and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze variances and research discrepancies
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and schedules
- Participate in process improvements and accounting system enhancements
- Perform ad hoc accounting analysis and projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0–2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
- Proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
