Role Overview
Associate Director, Factory Operations Manager – Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. This onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance. Candidates must be willing to work beyond the typical 40‑hour week.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of >150 employees across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain, ensuring a safe working environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate manufacturing resources and strategy to support ongoing operations for cost, quality, and schedule, maintaining operational excellence from planning through production, shipment, and customer support.
- Champion enterprise collaboration by implementing best‑in‑class solutions for innovative manufacturing and advanced capabilities that drive growth and affordability.
- Provide system integration and test for all Raytheon Sensors major end items; partner with programs and customers to maintain alignment and accountability at all levels.
- Drive strategic growth and manage performance, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and talent development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior leaders across Raytheon Operations and Supply Chain.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience or 10 years with an advanced degree; university degree or equivalent required.
- Prior management or leadership experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Production, or Quality.
- Experience in a DoD manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience managing a collective bargaining workforce preferred.
- Proficiency with SAP, shop‑floor data systems, and other business systems.
- Knowledge of Six‑sigma / CORE and lean manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational, customer‑service, communication, presentation, and team‑building skills.
- Ability to execute against tight deadlines; strong written and verbal communication at senior‑leadership level.
- Understanding of Raytheon product structures and technical details.
- Track record of positive financial performance/cost reduction.
- Active/Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
Active and transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $157,200 – $298,800 USD. Potential eligibility for annual incentive compensation programs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Benefits are contingent on applicable business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement.
