In this role you will lead Business Operations and Planning for the Cloud Ops Software and Platform Group within the Hybrid Cloud Business Unit. In this role you will be responsible to develop, manage and evaluate the operational business plans ensuring they are executed in alignment with the business strategy, key priorities and allocated budgets.
Responsibilities- Drive operational management of the Cloud Ops Software and Platform business financial plans, working closely with the business orgs and leaders and serving as a trusted advisor.
- Oversee budget management for multiple, complex businesses and is accountable for adhering to stated budgets, managing monthly forecasting and month-end-close activities.
- Deliver financial performance analysis and reporting to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Lead and drive the Long-Term Planning (LTP) efforts for the Cloud Ops Software and Platform business, working closely with the Hybrid Cloud Business Office, finance and org business leaders.
- Work with business leaders on portfolio plans that enable the execution of business strategies (e.g., sizing new growth initiatives, modelling / reducing costs) to support decision making.
- Lead complex business planning initiatives at global and cross-business unit levels.
- Balance short term with long term strategies and resource investment.
- Drive high-impact organizational and operational planning initiatives.
- Provide innovative thought leadership and shape the knowledge base within area of expertise.
- Provide strong leadership, develop and set individual and departmental team performance goals and manage drive change.
- Oversee and manage the allocation of tools and resources to support team efforts.
- Partner with business leaders to integrate plans across multiple businesses.
- 15+ years experience, with 10+ years specific to strategy, planning, operations, or finance
- 5+ years experience in a leadership role developing high-performance teams preferable in a global cross-functional environment.
- Must have experience leading strategic planning or business operations for a Software or Infrastructure product organization
- Demonstrated evidence of achieved planned financial results at an organizational level.
- MBA highly desired, or advanced university degree. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Excellent project management and operations skills, including leading cross functional initiatives and time and risk management.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business data using Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Superior business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations. Understand the portfolio aspect of the businesses products/services and how the businesses work together.
- Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
- Problem solving: approaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensures comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.
