Construction Supervisor

We're rethinking how housing is designed and built by manufacturing beautiful, high-performance module boxes in our Andover, MA factory. These modules are then delivered to jobsites and assembled into custom homes. Designed by our in-house architects, framed by our robotic framing arm, and finished by our skilled carpenters, our process is a unique blend of innovation and craftsmanship.

We are seeking a Construction Supervisor with strong carpentry skills to manage our site work, home delivery, and finishing. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who is excited to work with both traditional building methods and our innovative modular construction process.

• Must have an active Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL) in Massachusetts.

• Multifamily residential experience is preferred, but extensive ground-up residential home construction of any type will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Subcontractor Management:
  You will be the primary point of contact on the jobsite, responsible for all subcontractors from the first shovel to the client move-in. This includes coordinating surveys, excavation, site utilities, foundation, cranes, rigging, carpentry, and final finishes.

• Employee Management & Training:
  Lead and train our company carpenters, providing daily work lists and guidance to ensure quality and productivity.

• Jobsite Safety:
  You are the designated Jobsite Safety Officer, responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.

• Project Coordination & Communication:
  Maintain clear and helpful communication with all stakeholders, including clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and neighbors.

• Daily Documentation:
  Maintain a detailed daily log with photos and notes to ensure clear communication and a complete project record.

• Scheduling & Planning:
  Partner with the Project Manager to maintain a four-week lookahead schedule for materials, labor, and logistics.

• Quality Control:
  With the support of our entire team, you will be responsible for delivering a finished, high-quality product to the customer.

• Risk Management & Project Closeout:
  Identify potential project risks and support closeout activities, including punch lists and warranty documentation.

• Licensing & Inspections:
  As the license holder, you will be asked to apply for permits and coordinate, prepare for, and manage all site inspections with municipalities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ground-up residential construction.

• Deep knowledge of building means and methods.

• Proficiency in using construction apps like Procore or Buildertrend.

• Active MA Unrestricted CSL.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple trades working at once.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with our in-house design and factory teams.

• Physically able to lift 50 lbs.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Details

  Projects are currently in Somerville and Devens.

• Schedule:
  
  7am start time, Monday-Friday.

• Reporting:
  When not on a jobsite, you will report to our Andover, MA factory.
