Candidates with substantial academic experience may be considered for appointment at the Associate or Full Instructional Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Construction Management and General Engineering, and to contribute to student recruitment, student development, and industry engagement.
Who We Are
The School of Engineering and Computational Sciences is a hub for innovation offer ABET-accredited programs in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, as well as degrees in construction management, computer engineering, computer science, data science, and more. With approximately 400 undergraduates and 200 graduate students, we provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Our faculty engage students through project-based learning, research, and industry partnerships-helping them translate classroom learning into real-world success.

Position Overview
The School of Engineering and Computational Sciences at Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time, assistant instructional faculty position in Construction Management housed in the Engineering Division. We seek passionate educators dedicated to student success who will enrich our dynamic, student-centered learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities
* Teach four Construction Management or General Engineering courses per semester (with a particular interest in courses such as building information modeling, construction materials and methods, sustainability, construction law, construction safety, and construction systems-related topics)
* Develop and/or maintain current, industry-aligned course content
* Assist in cultivating business connections and partnerships in the field and help integrate innovative experiential learning opportunities, such as internships, co-ops, and industry- sponsored projects, into the curriculum
* Mentor students academically and professionally
* Hold regular office hours
* Contribute to departmental and institutional service
* Foster a collegial and collaborative environment
Required Qualifications
* Graduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related field
* Strong background in the construction management discipline
* Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Experience in or commitment to developing industry partnerships, internships/co-ops, or project-based learning opportunities for students.
