Reporting to the CTE Coordinator, the Electrical Vocational Teacher’s role is to help students learn career area subject matter in accordance with educational frameworks and skills required for development as mature, able, responsible young adults.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Teach district‑approved curriculum; prepare lesson plans accordingly.
- Meet and instruct assigned classes at the designated times and locations.
- Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interest.
- Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and work ethic when working on special projects.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
- Ensure accuracy and best practices for compliance with organizational standards.
- Keep records and prepare progress reports electronically.
- Keep current in discipline and teaching techniques.
- Participate in professional development and remain current in the field.
- Have proficient basic computer skills.
- Perform any other related teaching duties as assigned.
Supervise the classroom, students, and teaching assistants.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent. Five years of full‑time employment directly related to the Electrical area and joining technologies.
Certificates and LicensesCh. 74 licensure in the Electrical area and joining technologies is required or the ability to acquire the licensure. Possession of a current MA Journeyman and MA Master Electrician license.
Ability, Knowledge, and SkillsKnowledge of voltage systems.
Associate degree may substitute for one of five years of required experience if it includes subject matter related to the Vocational Technical Education Framework (VTEF) strands. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of required experience if it includes related subject matter from Strand 2 or vocational education.

Work Environment- Frequent standing, talking, hearing, walking; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Requires close vision to read materials; ability to adjust focus.

Position Type: Full‑Time
SalarySalary: $68,148 to $118,145 Per Year
