Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have coaching experience in golf and possess knowledge of strength and conditioning principles. Coaches are expected to adhere to all policies and procedures established by the MIAA and GLTS, demonstrate positive character, and promote sportsmanship both on and off the field. They will foster leadership skills in student-athletes, emphasize the importance of academic achievement, and cultivate pride within their program, school, and the broader community.
Responsibilities- Coaching in golf, including instruction, drills, and practice sessions.
- Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for athletes.
- Adhere to MIAA and GLTS policies and procedures.
- Promote positive character and sportsmanship on and off the field.
- Develop leadership skills in student-athletes.
- Emphasize the importance of academics.
- Build pride within the program, school, and community.
- Experience in golf coaching.
- High School diploma required.
- At least five years of coaching experience.
- Concussion Education Certification
- CPR/AED Certification
- MIAA Coaches Education Certification
- Completion of ArxED Training
- Sport Specific Training – NFHS approved courses
A highly effective coach possesses the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes while ensuring a safe, structured, and positive team environment. The coach demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of sport‑specific rules, strategies, and techniques, as well as familiarity with MIAA/GLTS regulations, proper conditioning and training practices, and emergency procedures, including CPR and AED. Furthermore, the coach exhibits proficiency in fostering teamwork, managing conflicts, coordinating schedules, and cultivating positive relationships with students, parents/caregivers, and colleagues.

- Vision required includes close vision for reading materials.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
