Middle School English as a Second Language Teacher

Responsibilities

Instruct English Learner students individually or in groups in oral language activities that foster the child's participation in the school's total program. Provide written language activities until the student is ready to join an existing language arts group within the school. Recommend appropriate modifications of the child's regular classroom assignments with respect to the existing English language level. Assist in developing a sequential ESL Program.

Assist in developing/assembling relevant assessment materials. Assist in developing/assembling materials for classroom use.

Certification as Teacher of English as a Second Language. Experience as teacher of English as a Second Language in a public school setting preferred. Fluency in a second language preferred. Extended experience living in another culture preferred.

SALARY:
Per ASC/Andover Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Building Principal and District's English Learner Education Coordinator
