Adjunct Instructor, Nursing Biochemistry

The Department of Natural Sciences invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor to teach lecture courses at the undergraduate level. Nursing Biochemistry is a 1-semester course specifically designed for nursing students. The course covers material in general, organic and biochemistry (GOB) with emphasis on units and molecular/organic structure. We have two immediate openings. An in-person course and an online version of the nursing biochemistry course.

The meeting times and additional information are as follows:

• The in-person course is scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:15-2:30 pm.

Duties include delivering lectures in a classroom setting, administering exams, and grading students’ assignments.

The candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Hold at least a MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• College-level teaching and experience utilizing learning management systems (i.e.
  
  - Canvas) and technology in the classroom is highly desirable.

• Cover letter stating motivation and interest in the position and desired courses
• Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).

This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check.

Minimum: $5,000 per 4-credit course

The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
