Digital Health Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Andover, Massachusetts. This role supports the design and development of medical and embedded electronics products in a regulated environment, working closely with cross functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through verification and validation
- Support hands on engineering activities including electrical prototyping, test setup, troubleshooting and manufacturing
- Design and develop analog, digital and mixed signal electronics for medical device applications
- Perform schematic capture, simulation and component selection
- Lead PCB layout activities and conduct design reviews
- Design power management and battery based systems
- Support sensor interfaces, motor control, and hardware communication interfaces as required
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, software, systems, and test engineering teams
- Support EMC, electrical safety, and regulatory compliance activities
- Develop and review technical documentation including specifications, dFMEA, and test reports
- BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required; MS preferred
- 5+ years of experience in product development or R&D
- Proficiency with Altium Designer
- Experience designing electronics for medical devices or other regulated products
- Strong experience with mixed-signal circuit design
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, and troubleshooting at the board and system level is required.
- Working knowledge of IEC 60601 requirements for EMC, electrical safety, and signal and power integrity
- Experience with microcontrollers and common communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, CAN, I2C, Ethernet, USB, SPI, UART, 1 Wire
- Experience with power electronics design including battery operated systems, battery chargers, multiple battery chemistries and their applications, linear regulators, LDO regulators, switching regulators, and POL modules
- Experience with high speed and high frequency circuit design
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
