Senior Principal Systems Engineer
Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and Ghost Eye Radars. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.
LocationUS-MA-TEWKSBURY-TB3 ~ 50 Apple Hill Dr ~ CONCORD BLDG, Tewksbury Tb3 300 Concord (can be based in Tewksbury, Andover, Marlborough MA or Pelham NH)
Core Responsibilities- Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
- Lead testing efforts by developing and implementing test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
- Troubleshoot and analyze hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
- Model and simulate system performance to support verification and validation.
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems and evaluate functionality and impact.
- Document integration plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
- Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
- Provide support at delivery sites, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations, traveling up to 20% of the time.
- Degree in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, or test.
- Experience developing scripts and functions with MATLAB.
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with model-based engineering.
- Experience developing and managing requirements.
- Experience with C++, Python, or similar.
- Experience generating technical documentation such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
- Experience in an integration lab, test facility, or field supporting integration and/or verification.
- Experience evaluating systems using simulated environments.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.
Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required.
SalaryUSD 132,400 – 251,600, depending on experience, location, and role level.
