Position:
Control and Automation Engineer (Factory Robotics & Automation) – Onsite, U.S. Citizen Only. A DoD Secret security clearance is required and must be maintained.
- Provide troubleshooting support and recovery of faults on 20+ pieces of custom robotics around the factory.
- Implement improvements to production automation systems, primarily programming Robotics, PLCs, and Vision Systems.
- Document issues and resolutions in Azure Dev Ops to properly convey impact to leadership and stakeholders.
- Update documentation for changes made to deployed systems.
- Liaise with manufacturing engineering and operators to understand and resolve issues.
- Merge technical, manufacturing, and business knowledge to drive new innovations across Raytheon.
- Grow knowledge on advanced robotic equipment transforming the way Raytheon assembles products.
- Learn the intricacies of every custom cell and overcoming the inevitable equipment challenges, including mechanical, electrical, and programming.
- BS in an engineering field or the sciences (STEM).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering; or 3+ years with an advanced STEM degree in Engineering.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Rockwell PLC and HMI experience.
- Fanuc Robotics experience.
- Machine vision experience.
- Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to create electrical schematics.
- Keyence, Cognex, or iRVision experience.
- Advanced PLC programming knowledge, including structured text.
- Experience with advanced STEM degree in Engineering (if fewer than 5 years of experience).
- Competitive salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD (depending on experience).
