Position: 4th Shift Die Inspection Process Support Engineer
Responsibilities- Work fourth shift, onsite presence Friday–Sunday 5am to 5pm.
- Process wafers to create III‑V semiconductor devices in a cleanroom environment.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight.
- Coordinate with fab operation leads and communicate with engineering support across shifts via pass‑downs.
- Train manufacturing personnel and review lot status and wafers requiring special disposition.
- Perform failure analysis of tools and processes.
- Support work center leads in tool and process qualification efforts.
- Identify opportunities to reduce rework and scrap.
- Execute process and throughput improvement projects.
- Maintain presence on the manufacturing floor for quick issue resolution to prevent interruptions to customer commitments.
- Actively communicate with parties within and outside the work center, including off‑shift engineers, work center leads, operation leads, manufacturing personnel, and equipment teams.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cleanroom environment and semiconductor processing techniques: optical microscope inspections, automated die inspection, wafer singulation, wafer bonding/thinning, photolithography, dry etching, and metal evaporation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Working understanding of microelectronics processing techniques such as die inspection, die pick and place, automated die inspection, and die singulation.
- Excellent communicator with ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, maintain organized documentation, and work well in small cross‑functional teams.
- Drive to learn and improve the work area.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Clear documentation and presentation of process development status in meetings.
- Semiconductor equipment operation and/or maintenance experience.
- Knowledge related to semiconductor processing and data analysis.
- Experience utilizing data analysis software packages: MATLAB, Python, SQL, JMP.
- Experience with quality standards and audits.
- Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200.
