About the Role
Location: Andover, MA, 350 Lowell St, AN1 Essex Building (On-site)
Role Type: Onsite (2nd shift)
Security Clearance: U.S. Secret clearance required (U.S. citizenship required)
Salary Range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD
Responsibilities- Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Engage manufacturing defect prevention teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation.
- Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.
- Lead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand with the ability to perform verification/validation of improvements and efficiencies.
- Identify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
- 2nd shift position with an 8% shift differential above base pay. No travel required.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Relevant experience:
- Working within electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing/industrial engineering or supplier engineering.
- Experience in first article inspection reports (FAIRs) and/or quality monitoring in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience in development/usage of quality metrics or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Experience interpreting drawings, work instructions, and/or customer specifications.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- J-STD-001, Six Sigma, Lean experience and/or ASQ Certifications.
- Experience in manufacturing process with quality systems and/or industry technical standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102).
- Demonstrated knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Proficient in the use of pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g., Six Sigma, lean manufacturing).
